Venue Hire

About the Centre of Excellence Venue

The Centre of Excellence is available for the use of all stakeholders involved in the delivery of Aged Service to support the delivery and development of the skills and knowledge required by our workforce to deliver quality Aged Services to our clients.

  • Aged Service Providers (on a cost recovery basis)
  • Not for profit community based organisations (on a slightly higher than cost recovery basis) outside of the Aged Care Services Sector e.g Disability Services Sector, Schools, Volunteer groups, and
  • For-profit organisations, businesses or any groups which charge fees for the activities (hired at a commercial rate).

Access to the Centre

Access to the Centre of Excellence is via the ramp located in the main entrance carpark area of Glenview.

Entrance to Rooms 1 & 2 and the meeting room will be via the first door on the ramp, right turn and stepped down, through and into the Centres foyer. There is a short hall and staircase which will take you up to the training rooms and meeting room.

Entry access through Room 1 is available for wheelchair access in consultation with hirer of Room 1 (if in use).

Location

The Centre of Excellence is located 2-10 Windsor Street, Glenorchy (on the corner of Main Road and Windsor Street) with access from Windsor Street.

Booking Information

Requesting a Booking

Bookings can be made through the Centre Coordinator using the Centre of Excellence online booking system below.

Tentative Bookings

Tentative bookings will be kept for 5 working days unless there is another request for hire of the training room for the same period. The Centre Coordinator will endeavour to contact the organisation holding the tentative booking to confirm.   Upon confirmation all booking terms and conditions will apply.

Confirmation of Booking

No booking is confirmed until a completed booking form is received by the Centre Coordinator and a confirmation of booking receipt in the form of an email has been sent. Written confirmation by email will be made within 48 hours of receipt of completed booking form.  It is the responsibility of the hirer, upon receiving the booking confirmation, to check all details and notify the Centre Coordinator of any discrepancies.

Cancellation

Cancellation fees applies according to the number of days notice given and is based on the value of the venue and equipment hire:

  • 28 days or less- 25% fee based on venue hire rate for confirmed booking
  • 14 days or less – 50% fee based on venue hire rate for confirmed booking
  • 7 days or less – 100% fee based on venue hire rate for confirmed booking
  • Non-Attendance – 100% fee based on venue/equipment hire rate for confirmed booking
